For the Letter R make a Rain Sound maker
that you can also use to teach your kid about rhythm with music later on
1. First take an extra paper towel roll and extra carboard and trace the end, so you will have a circle to fit in the bottom to close it up. Then tape on end on.
2. Then fill with some rice or lentils.
3. Next glue the other end on and then cover with some construction paper. We used Red that obviously begins with the letter R too.
4. Lastly, enjoy.
Family Fun magazine online also had a great suggestion I saw where you take old caps from liquid laundry detergent, fill one end with lentils or rice and tape together in the middle.
